Sources & Tasks

Source
1. A. D. Hope, 'Letter from Rome', (1958)
Pre-Task: Read A. D. Hope's Letter from Rome, and, after some time alone experiencing the light, the sounds, the views of the streets of Rome, write your own letter home, reflecting on what it feels like to be an Australian in Rome.

2. Percy Bysshe Shelley, "Arethusa" (1820), The Complete Poetical Works.:
Task:
3. Roman Holiday (1953): a different sort of Romantic. A jaded princess (Audrey Hepburn) accidentally ends up 'tired and emotional' on the streets of Rome, and meets by accident a feisty and equally jaded journalist (Gregory Peck). A great classic in the old style of Hollywood.
